Within every Remington primer is a group of subcomponents assembled to exceptionally tight tolerances. Primer cup dimensions are controlled to .0001″, and the priming mix is specially formulated for consistent ignition with a wide variety of powder types. Primers are tested for reliability from -20 degrees F to +150 degrees F. The unique tripod anvil design creates a larger strike area with maximum sensitivity, even with off center firing pin strikes.

I gave a review on Remington 9 1/2 primers several years ago when I lived in Junction City. I’m in Colorado now, and still using these primers along with the 2 1/2 Large Pistol primers. I have had no problems with the primers when they are seated properly. I get good to great accuracy and velocities from everything I reload and have had only one misfire with a primer in around 15,000 rounds. I use them in a 35 Whelen, three 30-06’s two 300 Winmags, a 25-06, a 6mm Remington, three .308 Winchesters and all my centerfire pistols and revolvers. I get accuracy that is match grade in most of the rifles, with consistent groups inside an inch with most of the loads used. Pistol and revolver loads are also very accurate, with higher that listed velocities from the reloading manuals. SD’s in my rifles tend to hover around 20 to 25 fps and velocities are generally higher for charge weight than the books list. I am very satisfied with this primer.
